Kristen Stewart is starring as Princess Diana in Pablo Larrain's new drama, Spencer. Here is everything we know so far about the film.

Neon released a first look image this morning of Kristen Stewart on set as Princess Diana.

The movie is written by Peaky Blinderscreator Steven Knight and depicts Diana's Christmas holiday of 1991 at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, where she decides to leave her marriage to Prince Charles.

In an interview with InStyle back in October, Stewart confessed, "It's one of the saddest stories to exist ever, and I don't want to just play Diana — I want to know her implicitly. I haven't been this excited about playing a part, by the way, in so long."

Joining Stewart on screen is Timothy Spall (Mr. Turner), Oscar Nominee Sally Hawkins (The Shape of Water), and Sean Harris (Mission: Impossible - Fallout), Deadline reports.

Neon also announced those a part of the production and creative team, including Director of Photography Claire Mathon (Portrait of a Lady on Fire), Costume Designer Jacqueline Durran (Little Women), Make Up and Hair Designer Wakana Yoshihara (Murder On The Orient Express) and Guy Hendrix Dyas (Inception) is the Production Designer. Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead is composing the film's original score.

The film is supposedly set out for release in the fall of 2021, as its production commences now in Germany and the U.K.
