Obsessed with 'Euphoria'? So are we! Here is a recap of last night's intense episode 'Out of Touch'.

Last night, January 16th, Euphoria aired the second episode of season two on HBOMax. The Sunday night premiere of a new episode every week at 9p.m. is becoming a ritual for fans of the hit drama television show.
Prior to last weeks crashing of the streaming platform as approximately 2.4 million fans tuned in at once for the season premiere, HBOMax was much more prepared for the high volume of people watching the second episode.

***NOTE: SPOILERS AHEAD. DO NOT CONTINUE IF YOU ARE NOT CAUGHT UP WITH EPISODE 2***

The season two premiere was so action packed that it was hard to top. The second episode wasn't too far behind.

The episode picks up where it left off: Nate being beaten (almost to death) by Fezco, and Cassie and Maddy then rushing him to the hospital - how ironic, his on-and-off girlfriend and his "mistress". As Nate is being transported into the hospital, there is a clear scene of what is going on inside of Nate's head at the moment. He is imagining a life with Cassie. In his dream-state, they fall in love, and have a child while his father Cal dies. This is clearly a reflection on the thoughts Nate is having in his subconscious.

Meanwhile, Rue and Jules are back together. They are kissing and chatting before class, when Elliot (Dominic Fike's new character) walks up to them to say hi to Rue and introduce himself to Jules. He clearly not only had no idea about Jules, but he didn't seem to realize that Rue is bisexual. The awkwardness here is so prominent, but it becomes even more so when Rue via her narrator-self reveals she has been hanging out with Elliot and doing drugs for the past few days.

How doesn't anyone (like Jules or her mom) pick up on the fact that she is using again? A mystery to me. However, what isn't a mystery is that Elliot and Rue's friendship might not be a great idea for Rue - and she is clearly aware of it. What she is not aware of, however, is that Elliot might be developing a little bit of a crush for Rue. Where will this take Jules and Rue's relationship throughout the season? Will jealousy get the best of Jules, or will Rue develop feelings (drug-induced feelings) for Elliot, too? I guess we will have to wait and see...

Cal Jacobs pays Fezco a visit to scare him - and he interrupts a Lexi and Fez moment, (which fans are so desperately waiting to see more of.)

We get a better look into Kat's relationship and see that her fantasies will always overpower her reality. She is clearly super insecure about herself - as she literally says in this episode - "I f*cking hate myself!"

We see Maddy has a job as a babysitter to make money for herself as she realizes there is so much out there outside of her hometown after she graduates, but in order to get out, she needs to get by with some cash in her pocket.

And, of course, Cassie and Nate are still hooking up. Cassie is walking on thin ice - and with this show, we know Maddy will find out sooner or later.

At the last moment, Nate drops a bombshell on his father and confronts him about Jules, which will make a super juicy episode for next week.

Stay tuned for next week's episode of HBOMax's hit show 'Euphoria' - at 9p.m. on Sundays.
