The Television Academy shared a big update on this year's Primetime Emmy Awards.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the red carpet at The 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards will be limited. The Academy just announced:
Out of an abundance of caution and for the safety of Emmy nominees, guests and media, the number of production personnel and staff must be limited at this year's 73rd Emmy Awards.
This news comes as cases have started to increase since the delta variant has come to be. Because of this, The Academy has also taken action by requiring all attendees to be vaccinated. Not only will the red carpet be limited at the Primetime Emmys, but there will be no red carpet at all at the Creative Arts Emmys. This is the second year in a row that action has been taken by the Academy due to coronavirus.
