Big steps are being taken Donald Glover's career!

Glover has signed to a new multiple year contract with Amazon that is believed to include a content channel that will showcase Glovers work and others made for the channel according to sources at The Hollywood Reporter. They say on top of that Glovers brother, Stephan Glover, who wrote and produced Atlanta, also signed with Amazon.

This means Glover has left his pact with Disney-owned FX. Sources say his new deal with Amazon will cash him in with eight figures.

The deal will also have Glover executive produce other projects and sourcessay one project has already began. A series called Hivehas said to of started staffing writers and Malia Obama is one of those recruited, perTHR. They said the show is supposed to center on a Beyoncé-type public figure.

The former first daughter is graduating from Harvard University 2021, so this new deal is a pretty big step for a girl right out of college. Although, Malia is no stranger to the Hollywood world as she has held multiple internships with The Weinstein company, HBO, and CBS, according to THR.

Glovers decision to move is said to not affect is current deal with Emmy-winning FX's show Atlanta. The show has already been set to make season three and four and is said to start production this march. As the future of the shows season passed four is undetermined, Glover is said to have a carve-out so that he can still work on the show if he would like.

If that isn't enough, Glover and Phoebe waller-bridge is creating, staring in and executive producing an update of New Regency's Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie feature Mr. and Mrs. smith and will be on Amazon in 2022, THR reported.
