We can all agree the holidays, last year, were pretty sad. Most of us were still stuck at home, waiting for the vaccine. And iconic places like Disneyland and Walt Disney World were closed. But 2021 is a different story, and at Disney parks, the holiday fun is back!
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort is the most magical time of the year and the merry festivities run until Jan. 9, 2022. Guests will enjoy a distinctly Disney holiday experience with beloved traditions that include the return of “A Christmas Fantasy” Parade, “Believe… In Holiday Magic” fireworks spectacular, and the breathtaking Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle, all at Disneyland Park. At Disney California Adventure Park, the heartwarming celebration comes alive with Disney Festival of Holidays, “Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” and the merry motor-themed holiday décor on Route 66 in Cars Land.

- Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle is illuminated with more than 80,000 twinkling LED lights, sparkling “icicles” and shimmering snow-capped turrets
- Mickey, Minnie and their pals are wearing new holiday attire
- An all-new year round holiday store, Plaza Point, is now open on Main Street, U.S.A.
- Guests enter Disneyland park to a 60-foot tall Christmas tree in Town Square with new lighting and décor, featuring nearly 1,800 Victorian-inspired ornaments

- Disney Festival of Holidays brings the spirit of the season to life through special cultural entertainment, along with delicious food at 8 Festive Foods Marketplaces, which features a mix of holiday dishes and beverages that bridge many diverse cultures and family traditions including Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanza, Diwali, Three Kings and runs through Jan. 9, 2022.

- Mickey’s Happy Holidays character celebration returns with beloved Disney and Pixar pals.

- Disney is adding new fun to the Holidays celebration this year, with special appearances by Mirabel from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ new musical comedy, “Encanto.” This joyful, limited-time experience brings a new cultural perspective to the immersive “Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” festivities at Disney Festival of Holidays, with live entertainment, interactive photo opportunities, and the young hero from the film, which is in theaters now.
