WATCH: Cobra Kai Season 4 Trailer

Cobra Kai: Season 4 promo

Things are heating up in this can't-miss teaser for the Karate Kid sequel.

The fists will indeed be flying in the intense fourth season of the Karate Kid sequel series. This new teaser reveals that Cobra Kai will be returning to the All Valley Karate Tournament, which was a fixture of all three Karate Kid movies and promises to heighten the stakes beyond anything seen in the show so far.

The 30-second video features Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), John Kreese (Martin Kove), Tory Nichols (Peyton List), and others showing off their karate skills and their readiness to use them. "The soul of the valley is on the line," growls the voiceover narrator as characters roar with zestful fury onscreen. Afterwards, there is a brief moment of levity as characters at a dinner party lampshade the absurdity of the karate dojos' rivalry, but it does little to defuse the tense atmosphere created by the rest of the trailer.

This season of Cobra Kai is bigger, badder, and bolder than everything that has come before it. Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith), the evil mastermind of The Karate Kid Part III, is joining the show for season 4. Audiences are also looking forward to seeing Daniel and Johnny team up, finally inspired to overcome their differences by a mutual hatred of Kreese and his brand of merciless villainy. The show is at an all-time high in popularity, thanks to its acquisition by Netflix and a highly-successful third season, so its creators (Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg) are likely to push the envelope further than ever before with their audacious and explosive combination of furious martial arts and intense drama.

Season 4 of Cobra Kai releases on Netflix sometime in December of 2021.
