Bachelorette star Clare Crawley and former contestant Blake Monar have sparked romance rumors this weekend after posting photos together of a recent trip to Indiana.
Monar appeared on Crawley's season of The Bachelorette in 2020, only to be sent home without a rose in the second week. Monar, later appeared on season seven of Bachelor in Paradise where he briefly dated Tia Booth, before she broke it off to give her rose to contestant James Bonsall.
Crawley posted an Instagram reel to her account on Sunday with the caption,
"Went for business, left with the most unexpected remarkable memories! Indy, you were truly beautiful and exactly what my soul needed."
Both Crawley and Monar work in the beauty industry. Crawley is the co-owner of De Facto Salon in Sacramento, California and Monar is the founder and CEO of his own cosmetics line, Statum Style Cosmetics. This is most likely the "business" that Crawley talks about in her caption, but the videos in the post suggests the trip might have turned into something more.
The video montage shows Crawley and Monar shopping, bowling, singing in the car together, and spending time with his young niece and nephew.
Monar posted an Instagram story of Clare playing with his niece riding around in a toy car, followed by another story of him hugging Crawley from behind with the caption, "How's walking on black ice with a grown man hanging on your back, @clarecrawley?" Crawley reposted the story on her account responding, "Better than gliding solo across the driveway and ending up under your car."
The couple can be seen smiling and laughing in the video and appear to be quite comfortable with one another raising the question if there is more than just a friendship between them.
Crawley responded to some of the comments about Blake on her post, furthering the romance rumors. One account commented saying that Monar was the sweetest person, to which Crawley replied, "He truly is."
Another commented, "Love seeing you look authentically happy, you deserve it Clare!" to which she replied, "Feels good when the authenticity is reciprocated."
The post comes just three months after Crawley's messy and painful breakup with Dale Moss, who she got engaged to after just 12 days on her season of The Bachelorette.
This is not the first time in franchise history that a bachelorette has rekindled her romance with former contestant.
Katie Thurston, who appeared on season 17 of the show, sent California bartender John Hershey home during the second week of the show. Thurston went on to give her final rose to Blake Moynes in the August season finale, however by the end of October, the couple had split. In mid-November, Thurston was spotted with Hershey, sparking dating rumors. The couple have since confirmed their relationship and are still happily together.
