The buzz is real around the Advocate Channel loft. We are beyond excited for the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones! As we inch closer to the first episode, our Arthur Kade hit the star-studded world premiere of the final season at Radio City Music Hall in NYC. He went one on one with some of the show's biggest stars to talk about the final season, saying goodbye to fellow cast members, and more!
The Game of Thrones season eight world premiere took over NYC in blockbuster movie fashion. Radio City Music Hall was decked out in decor that gave off a true Westerosi vibe, and the sheer size of the premiere goes to show that Game of Thrones isn't just another TV show. Not to mention that most of the cast, both current and former members, attended the premiere! Even good ole Oberyn Martell (played by Pedro Pascal) managed to put his head back together to attend the premiere.

Maisie Williams on saying goodbye
Arthur chatted with Arya Stark, herself, at the premiere about what it's like saying goodbye to the cast. Even though the show has been running since 2011, Maisie Williams is sad to see everyone part ways.
"It's very emotional. I'm very sad to see everyone separate from one another."
On how the show has changed her life, Maisie believes the recognition she receives in public is the biggest change.
"Now, you stand in the street and people know who are are, which is kind of mental for me."

The Hound is ready for the end
Rory McCann, who plays prodder or "The Hound", has taken a beating over the years playing the complicated character. When Arthur asked Rory about his thoughts on saying goodbye, the star kept it frank:
"It's kind of emotional but I'm glad it's all over. My body is all black and blue. I need a rest. I've been hooked, proddered, stabbed, burnt, so yeah, that'll do. About eight years of it."
On what's next for the actor, Rory believes it doesn't get better than Game of Thrones.
"...To be honest, I think this is it. How do you get better than being on Game of Thrones? You don't. It's all freaking down hill from now on."

Jorah Mormont can't believe it's over
From contracting greyscale to defending Daenerys Targaryen, Ser Jorah Mormont personifies honor and persistence in Game of Thrones. The man who plays him, Iain Glen, tells Arthur his thoughts on series wrapping up:
"...I can't believe it. It's been a decade down the line since when we first started doing it, so it's been a big part of my life for such a long time, and it's going to be sad letting it all go."

Hodor is just happy to be here
Arthur chatted with Kristian Nairn, who plays fan-favorite Hodor, about what the atmosphere was like at the world premiere.
"It's just lovely seeing everybody. It feels like a college graduation. It almost feels like we should have caps to throw up in the air afterwards."
The Red Women believes all good things come to an end
Melisandre may be one of the shadier characters in Game of Thrones, but the woman who plays her, Carice Van Houten, is looking at the end of the series in a very positive way.
"Saying goodbye sucks. It sucks. It always sucks. But it's also something beautiful. If we say goodbye to it with so much passion, I think that's a good thing, you know? All good things come to an end.

Bronn is thankful for the journey
Bronn is another iconic character of Westeros that fans love to death. No matter what part of the realm Bronn travels to, it is always an interesting journey for him. Jerome Flynn, the man behind Bronn, can't believe he ended up being the iconic show.
"There is still something about this job that I can't believe, and the fact that I ended up on such an incredible journey with everybody and what became of Game of Thrones, there is something still quite surreal about it. It's been a real joy, and tonight is a great celebration."
