The holidays are a time of joy and family, but they are just as much a time of giving and selflessness. With 2020 being the wild year that it was, celebrities are taking time to perform acts of kindness along the way.
At Advocate Channel, giving back is one of the main pillars of our organization. As celebrities in Hollywood carry influence, we feel that it's important to highlight those who aren't just owning the red carpet, but the giving carpet, too! Here are just some of the stars who are giving back this season.
Will Smith & Will Smith
Will Smith is known for his major films, viral videos, and giving back in big ways. This holiday season, Smith is teaming up with LA Dodgers catcher Will Smith to surprise a family.
In the above clip, we see Will Smith (the actor) meet the Morenos. The family experienced various hardships as they struggled to survive. That was when eight year-old Aaron Morenos decided to take matters into his own hands and sold plants for a profit. The word got out about Aaron, and his business grew to the point where he stabilized his family.
The family meets both Smiths, as they go through shenanigans and fun, and the two give special gifts to the family.

Country stars Dan + Shay joined Safe Haven in Nashville, Tennessee to give families who are struggling with homelessness affordable housing. The duo joined families for the reveals, and even surprised them with gifts, music, and more.
