He directed movies, and raised his son Rob who became a successful director. He did comedy with Mel Brooks and the two remained best friends until his dying day. He launched the careers of people like Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore and Steve Martin. He was even one of the Ocean's 11 alongside George, Brad and Matt. There was nothing Carl Reiner didn't try and succeed at in Hollywood. This week he is being mourned and celebrated after passing away at the age of 98. It was a life well lived and we will miss him...
