Tom Brady and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers teammates visited the White House on Tuesday for a ceremony hosted by President Joe Biden honoring their Super Bowl LV win.

The ceremony on the front lawn featured a 2020 election jab at the former president made by quarterback Brady.

"When we found our rhythm, we got on a roll. Not a lot of people think that we could have won. In fact, I think about 40% of people still don't think we won. You understand that, Mr. President?" Brady joked while standing amongst his teammates at the podium outside the White House.

"I understand," President Biden said laughing to a chuckling crowd.

The joke between Biden and Brady's exchange was a dig towards former President Donald Trump in reference to his denial of losing the 2020 election, despite losing the electoral and popular votes to Biden even accusing the election of being rigged.

The five-time Super Bowl MVP went on to make jokes about how during a game with the Chicago Bears during the previous season he forgot what down it was and his teammates called him "Sleepy Tom," which was another dig towards Trump who called President Biden "Sleepy Joe" during the 2020 campaign.

This was the first time a Super Bowl championship team has visited the White House since 2017. In 2018 the Philadelphia Eagles had been uninvited by the former president citing protests during the National Anthem.

Biden thanked the Super Bowl champions for their contributions in helping out communities "after such a tough year," and turned around to team members urging those who have not got the vaccine yet to get it.

"And y'all who don't have a shot man — get one. Ok? Get one. Get one. Get one," Biden vouched.
