The K-Pop boy band BTS just sat down to talk with SiriusXM's Tony Fly and Symon about their record-breaking virtual concert and latest single, Dynamite. We even got a mini Watermelon Sugar cover!
A VMAs Performance
BTS is nominated for not one..not two...but three VMAs! That's definitely something to clap for. Not only could they be bringing a VMA award home, but we do know that they will be performing their new single Dynamite! RM tells us:
"So we're gonna perform Dynamite for the very first time, performance, and you know, we're nervous, but...it's gonna be, you know, powerful as always. Boom! Disco disco."
Breaking Records For Their Virtual Concert
This past June, 2020, BTS hosted a live virtual concert. The group broke a world record for the largest paid virtual concert ever. Bang Bang Con: The Live garnered over 756,000 views. Suga explains the success of the concert and says:
"We were supposed to be on tour, but due to the current circumstances we had to do it online. I think we were able to achieve such good results because the fans were really eager to see our performance. We had a great time seeing our fans enjoying it so much."
The Boys Sing Watermelon Sugar
Tony Fly tells BTS that he wants to be BFFs with them and he will do so by running them through the BFF Speed Round of Questions. One of the questions is "What was the last song that got stuck in your head?" The boys quickly responded with Watermelon Sugar by Harry Styles. They all broke out into song, and it's something you need to see and hear for yourself!
Stay tuned for BTS' upcoming VMAs performance!
