Britney Spears is reportedly working on new music after taking a six-year break, following her last album, "Glory," back in 2016.
While the 40-year-old pop star "isn't putting any pressure on herself to release an album right away or anything," a source told The Sun, her team is beginning to put "feelers out about the prospect of new music."
Back in December, she teased new music after going on "an indefinite work hiatus" in early 2019, after wrapping her Las Vegas residency.
'Several people who she feels comfortable working with have been contacted and asked if they would like to work on music with Britney again, and everyone seems pretty keen to be involved,' an insider told the outlet.
'She has been through an incredibly tough few years, but deep down, she does love making music and performing, so to have some new music out there could really help her turn over a new leaf,' they added.
Collaborators who have been reportedly approached include Claude Kelly, who worked with the pop icon on her 2008 album "Circus," which produced the hits "Womanizer" and "Circus."
He has also worked with Jessie J, Miley Cyrus and Jason Derulo.
Previously refusing to work on new material while under the conservatorship of her father Jamie Spears in 2019, in a bid to see the legal arrangement lifted, the star is now in charge of her career for the first time since 2008.
