Netflix has renewed the Shondaland fan favorite series Bridgerton (2020-) for season three and four.
Season 1 Hit
Based on Julia Quinn's hit novels, Bridgerton is a period drama that follows the lives of the Bridgerton siblings, a group that belongs to high society London.
Created by Shonda Rhimes, season one told the story of Daphne Bridgerton (played by Phoebe Dynevor) and her relationship with Simon (Regé-Jean Page).
In accordance with Quinn's novels, each season will focus on the romantic journey of each Bridgerton sibling meaning Page will not be returning for season two.
Season 2 In Production
Season two will be focusing on the love life of the oldest Bridgerton sibling, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey). Based on Quinn's The Viscount Who Loved Me (2000), Anthony will be finding his soulmate in quite the unexpected way. Actress Simone Ashley has been announced to play Miss Kate Sharma, Anthony's love interest.
Season two of Bridgerton is currently in production with season one available for view on Netflix.
