Marvel Turns A New Page With The Rollout Of Phase Four

Marvel Turns A New Page With The Rollout Of Phase Four

Attention Marvel fans! Black Widow is in theaters now! But wait there's more...don't forget about the Loki finale next week!

Marvel fans, rejoice! This month, you have two huge releases to look forward to: Black Widow and the Lokifinale. Two is always better than one!

Black Widow is finally out now in theaters. The film was delayed not once, not twice, but three times. It was originally scheduled to be released over a year ago, on May 1st 2020, but was pushed back to November 6th 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Itwas then pushed back yet again to May 7th 2021. As if two delays weren't enough to keep fans in suspense, the film was delayed to July 9th 2021 just for good measure. So here we are; and it's no surprise the cast couldn't be happier that fans will finally get to see it:

"We've been sitting on this film for over a year and it's been ten years in the making."

That's what Black Widow star, Scarlett Johansson, had to say about the release of the film.

Rachel Weisz, who plays Black Widow's mother figure Melina Vostokoff, had this to say about the film:

"She's such a mysterious interesting character and I think everyone wants to know her origin story and what happened before she was an avenger."

Fans first saw Johansson's Black Widow in the second installment of the Iron Man trilogy. The character has come a long way since then and this time around, fans are getting a glimpse into Black Widow's past.

Another one of Johansson's co-stars and Stranger Things standout David Harbour added:

"It's just really exciting to have it finally come out I can't wait for people to see it and meet this Red Guardian character."

Black Widow is in theaters now and it's also available to stream on Disney Plus with Premier Access now.

Marvel is doubling down on the content this month with the highly anticipated finale of Loki dropping on July 14th, less than a week after the release of Black Widow. Loki himself, Tom Hiddleston had this to say about the hit Disney Plus series:

"Viewers can look forward to seeing the Loki they know in a world they don't know and I think that's the most exciting aspect."

Owen Wilson, who plays Mobius in the series, added:

"What I hope fans experience when watching the show is that we are taking them into another world and they're seeing something they haven't seen yet in the MCU."
Loki is making waves in more ways than one. First of all, the show itself is critically acclaimed and praised for its acting and special effects, but Loki revealed that Loki is bisexual making the title character the MCU's first major queer character. Loki co-star, Gugu Mbatha-Raw said:
"To be able to see the new layers to his journey was really cool."

Stream the Loki finale on Disney Plus, Wednesday, July 14th.
