Are you registered to vote yet? Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, and Usher are just a few of the artists working to make sure that you do. Various artists have teamed up with the Just Vote Campaign to encourage young voters to register now.
Global Citizen, an international advocacy organization, and voter registration organization HeadCount founded the campaign which encourages citizens of all ages to take the initiative to vote in the November 3rd election.
The campaign has not only gained support from numerous celebrities, but they are also partnering with the organizations to provide exclusive services to their fans who register to vote. Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Usher, DJ Khaled, Billie Porter, Lauren Gray, and Quavo are just a few of the big names who have already joined in.
Fans of the celebs will be able to unlock special experiences after confirming their vote registration status.
Artists Billie Eilish and Finneas will be giving away signed merchandise. For a more interactive experience, Usher will be giving fans their very own dance lesson, meanwhile DJ Khaled will be hosting a virtual meet-and-greet.
Executive director of HeadCount, Andy Bernstein told Global Citizen that this campaign is an innovative approach that fits the current times.
The challenges of COVID-19 demand that we innovate the ways in which we engage potential voters. That's why we are thrilled to partner with Global Citizen, these brilliant artists, and companies to excite voters and encourage participation in our democracy.
