Billie Eilish is opening up about her experience living with Tourette syndrome.
During the season 4 premiere of “My Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman,” which aired on Netflix May 20, the "Bad Guy" singer shared what it was like to live with the neurological disorder.
"The most common way that people react is they laugh because they think I'm like trying to be funny," Eilish said. "They think I'm going like [imitates tic] as like a funny move. So they go like, 'Ha.' And I'm always left incredibly offended by that. Or they go like, 'What?' And then I go, 'I have Tourette's.'"
The seven-time Grammy winner revealed that she was diagnosed with Tourette syndrome at 11 years old, and though she doesn’t completely understand it, she’s grown very “confident” in it.
"I actually really love answering questions about it because it's very, very interesting," she said, "and I am incredibly confused by it and I don't get it."
When asked if she would ever "damn" the disorder, Eilish gave the perfect response.
“Now, I don't," she replied. "It's not like I like it, but I feel like it's a part of me. I have made friends with it. So now, I'm pretty, like, confident in it."
