You'd think with all the Jewish people who work in Hollywood, there would be more movies about Hanukkah. But, like me, most Jewish kids dream about celebrating Christmas. Not that we're not proud of our heritage, but lighting candles and eating potato pancakes is way less fun than Santa, reindeer and decorating a tree in your living room! Despite the lack of Hanukkah blockbusters, there are some fun ways to mark the Festival of Lights with the help of pop culture. Here are 8 ideas (one for each crazy night)...
Love, Lights, Hanukkah! on Hallmark Channel
This year, Hallmark has a brand new Hanukkah movie! And it's got tv greats Marilu Henner and the Boy who Met the World himself, Ben Savage! It premieres Saturday December 12th.
Mistletoe and Menorahs on Lifetime
Lifetime debuted this movie in 2019, but they are re-running it this year!
The Night Before
Seth Rogen in an ugly Hanukkah sweater?! Yes, please! This is the exact opposite of a wholesome, Hallmark movie.
8 Crazy Nights
If Mariah Carey is the queen of Christmas (which she is) then Adam Sandler is the king of Hanukkah! Not only did he give us 2 versions of his classic Hanukkah Song, he also turned it into an animated movie! Eat your heart out Rudolph!
Full Court Miracle on Disney+
Did you know Disney made a Hanukkah movie?! It's true, and it's streaming now on Disney Plus.
Double Holiday and Holiday Date on Hallmark Channel
Yep, Hallmark has made a few of these...
