Beavis and Butt-Head are heading back to TV!

Beavis and Butt-Head are making a comeback with two new seasons, additional spinoffs and specials in the works.

The original series creator, Mike Judge will be working with Comedy Central to bring the series back to life by writing, producing and being a voiceover for both of the characters. The new series will be reimagined in a way that it will cater to Generation Z humor but will also stick to its roots.

In a statement with The Hollywood Reporter, president of ViacomCBS' entertainment and youth group Chris McCarthy commented on the upcoming collaboration with Judge:

"We are thrilled to be working with Mike Judge and the great team at 3 Arts again as we double down on adult animation at Comedy Central. 'Beavis and Butt-Head' were a defining voice of a generation, and we can't wait to watch as they navigate the treacherous waters of a world light-years from their own."

The announcement of the sitcom revival comes shortly after MTV's acquirement of the animated series Jodie, a spinoff of the iconic Daria, with Tracee Ellis Ross executive producing and voicing the main character. Both of these series contribute to Comedy Central's attempt in improving their animated adult content, building off of the success of South Park.

After the original Beavis and Butt-Head, Judge went on to create series such as Silicon Valley and King of the Hill. After a failed attempt to reboot the series in 2011, Judge is back to make the series a hit. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Judge humorously commented on his decision to revive the show:

"It seemed like the time was right to get stupid again."
