Internet Goes Crazy After Armie Hammer's Is Spotted as "Hotel Concierge"

Rumors that Armie Hammer had landed himself a job as a hotel concierge in the Grand Cayman Islands have been debunked.

The "Call Me By Your Name" actor was allegedly spotted posing on a resort's flyer by Muna Mire, producer on Showtime's Desus & Mero. Mire shared her discovery on Twitter, posting an image of the flyer with the caption,

"My friend's parents went on vacation in the Cayman Islands and Armie Hammer was their concierge."

 "I'm still not over it."

The flyer advertised many common activities offered by the hotel, including excursions, local restaurant recommendations and good hospitality. It read,

"I am your personal concierge and am here to help you get the very best from your vacation.”

Once the image started to circulate, Hammer's lawyer quickly shut down the rumor with Variety. Mire has since deleted the tweet.

Variety also got word from a hotel employee that it "boils down to a prank". Hammer is a familiar face to the resort, often stopping by to play golf. The "Death of the Nile" actor also grew up regularly visiting the islands and spent the majority of the pandemic there.

In the end, a prank turned into advertising, as an employee admitted the resort experienced an amplitude of calls and attention, and that they could "only dream of this sort of publicity.”

Hammer has remained under low profile following multiple sexual abuse and cannibalism allegations last year, and his firing from Jennifer Lopez's movie, “Shotgun Wedding,” as well as the Paramount+ TV series, “The Offer.”
