And Just Like That... The Documentary will give fans an inside look at everything from preproduction to the premiere. It will show the "fear and excitement" that went into bringing back the beloved characters in an older, more mature setting.
Sarah Jessica Parker, now also co-executive producer, shared her feelings her very first day on set. She stated,
"Even 23 years in, I'm excited. Terrified, and excited."
Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Sara Ramírez, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, Sarita Choudhury, and Michael Patrick King will all appear in the documentary, along with the costume designers for the series. We have to get a look at those outfits, don't we?
One notably absent party is Chris Noth, Parker's love interest, who was cut after being accused of sexual assault by two women. Kim Cattrall, known for her role as Samantha in the original series, will also not be present. Cattrall declined returning for the reboot, and will therefore not be featured in the documentary.
A second season of And Just Like That... has not officially been announced, but fans remain cautiously optimistic. The season finale and documentary will premiere on HBO Max February 3.
