Four years ago, Alec Baldwin took on the infamous role of Donald Trump on SNL, with his first gig being the 2016 presidential debate with Trump and Hillary Clinton. Now, as Joe Biden takes on the role as the new President of the United States, it's time for Baldwin to retire his character - and he's not mad about it.

Baldwin wrote on Twitter Saturday that he was actually "overjoyed" to leaving his Donald Trump character in the past. His last segment was in this past weekend's episode called 'Biden Victory Cold Open.' The presidential election was called just hours before the taping of the show.

In the cold open, Baldwin as Trump says, "As anyone who died halfway through Tuesday knows, I was re-elected president of the United States."

Baldwin also posted a farewell picture of his character Trump holding a sign that says, "You're welcome!!!"
SNL's Donald Trump has been an iconic character in the past years, and every SNL fan can easily say that Baldwin did an excellent job at the gig.
