Paramount's A Quiet Place Part II, the long-awaited sequel to the first horror film is now available for streaming on Paramount Plus.
The film which was written and directed by former The Office star John Krasinski, stars himself and his wife Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe and Djimon Hounsou.
A Quiet Place Part II picks up where the 2018 prequel left off, following the storyline of the Abbott family and the deadly events that occurred in their home, who must now face the horrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. After being forced yet again to venture into the unknown, they realize there are more threats that lurk beyond the sand path in the post-apocalyptic world than the creatures that hunt them by sound.
The film was released 45 days after its debut in theaters on May 28. The film's original release date was nearly a year ago in March of 2020, and Krasinski issued a statement on Twitter at the time announcing the movie would be delayed due to the uncertainty of the pandemic and wanted to wait for viewers to be able to experience the film together.
Krasinski revealed back in a 2018 interview with Vanity Fair after the first film's release how working with his wife on set was the ultimate test to their marriage.
"The biggest benefit is the support system. I was emotional every day, and she would stay for the scene she wasn't in," Krasinski revealed. "It was terrifying. You don't know what will happen, and if your two processes are going to work together. Some people were like, 'You're going to be divorced by the end of it.' But we quickly learned we work really well together."
