Happy Birthday to actress Mila Kunis! Here are five times she has kept it real and been an inspiration.

#1

In a 2010 interview with SheKnows, Mila Kunis talks about her role in Black Swan. Here she describes how striving for perfection is impossible but can sometimes be helpful.

"I feel like every role you take, there's a part of you that obviously feels like you can do it. I don't know if perfect is the right word because I don't believe in perfection. I don't think it exists. But, I think that striving to do something well is in every single part."

Cosmopolitan August 2018

In a 2018 interview with Cosmopolitan, Kunis talks about what she wants to get out of her career, and what she ultimately wants is happiness.

"I just want to be happy. I know that sounds incredibly lame, but I never want to stop learning or being challenged, and I never want to stop challenging my partner. I think that those things will always lead to some form of success."

#3

In 2012, Kunis sat down with Stylist Magazine and was asked about how she would like to improve herself.

"I hope I can improve myself. I love learning. If I could go to school and just take lectures, I would. But I love the History Channel and Discovery's Health and Science channels and I love random facts like, where does the phrase 'not my cup of tea', come from?"

#4

In an interview with W Magazine, the actress looks back on her early career in filming That '70s Show for 8 years. She talks about how it is okay to embrace our mistakes, as they are a normal part of growing up.

"I'm so grateful that all my mistakes are recorded for posterity. I went through puberty on television! I grew five inches while I was on that show, and I had so many different eyebrow shapes! I went through everything embarrassing that a girl can go through in front of my fiancé. There's no question that he's seen the worst. I find that comforting."

Interview Magazine, July 2012

Mila Kunis keeps it real, and it shows. While sitting down with James Franco for Interview Magazine, she talks about wanting to show who she really is when under the public eye.

"I don't really have a perception issue. I've been pretty good about being who I am in the public's eye. I don't necessarily put on an act when I go on Jay Leno or dress differently in public than I do in private. I'd like to think I'm the same person, more or less."
