Zuri Hall is sharing her predictions for this year's award season.
After a couple of years of balancing Zoom and in-person events, 2022 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting years yet for award shows.
"The blessing of living in California, where most of these carpets take place... is cold and flu season looks a little different here. It gets warmer much sooner. The fact that we can pull off outdoor events in the winter more often than New York City... that might make a hybrid show realistic. You might have some people hosting or walking the carpet, but then they'll be asking a lot of nominees or extended team members to stay home and Zoom in," Zuri Hall said.
An immense portion of the award season is the fashion. Hall expects this year to be bigger than ever after everyone spent a lot of time at home these past two years.
"We're going to see a lot of maximalist statements. Gold was really huge and metallics on the carpet. Skin, skin, skin is definitely in. These days, even at the Oscars, people are starting to show a little bit of flesh."
