With the start of a new week comes a new list of things to watch. Here's all the finales and premieres for today and tonight.
Small Town News: KPVM Pahrump
HBO's latest documentary series takes a surprisingly wholesome look at the inside workings of a small news station in Pahrump, Nevada. With eccentric but charming personalities on both sides of the camera, this has more in common with Anchorman than it does with NBC. The first episode premieres tonight at 9 PM.
Drain the Oceans
National Geographic returns with another season of its beloved documentary series. Hosted by Englishman Russell Boulter, Drain the Oceans explores the sites of famous oceanic events, such as naval battles and sunken cities, using expert testimony and underwater scans from breaking-edge technology. The fourth season premieres tonight at 9 PM with an episode about the Wild West.
My True Crime Story
Actor and rapper Remy Ma (star of Love & Hip Hop) hosts this new crime show about criminal masterminds who saw the error of their ways after serving time for their crimes. "Each episode features ordinary people with good intentions who commit scandalous criminal activities and ultimately find redemption," reads the show's synopsis. "Told by the people who lived through these life-changing misadventures, thrilling stories include cases of international smuggling, million dollar jewelry heists, bank robbery and drug trafficking." The first episode premieres tonight at 10 PM EST on VH1, and can be streamed on Paramount+.
sMothered
TLC's reality TV series sMothered has been one of the most consistently outrageous shows on television, and tonight's series finale is no exception. These mother-daughter duos take the phrase "like mother, like daughter" a little too seriously, with drastic and hilarious results. The tenth episode of season three premieres tonight at 9 PM.
So Freakin’ Cheap
This one-of-a-kind reality TV series follows a handful of cheapskates who save money with a zest few can even imagine. Their antics run the gamut from educational to hilarious to even tragic. The first season concludes tonight at 10 PM on TLC.
The Olympics
The Tokyo Olympics sign
The Tokyo Summer Olympics are in full swing, with new events every day this week. Tonight is no exception: the Women's 400m dash is on at 9, the Women's long jump is at 9:50, the Men's 200m dash is at 10:29, and the Men's 400m hurdles are at 11:20.
