After closing on March 15th, Walt Disney World released their first set of plans to reopen theme parks, hotels and stores just in time for summer travelers. However, it will not be the same Disney World we know and love.

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Disney is aware of the strict safety measures that have to be put in place for the well-being of guests and workers. To keep everyone safe, Disney has provided a phased plan of slowly reopening the Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Animal Kingdom park beginning on July 11th, while EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios will open on July 15th.
Some safety measures Disney will be partaking in are social distancing, limiting attendance, and controlling guest density, especially for events that draw a big crowd. These safety measures will be implemented by requiring guests to obtain a park entry reservation and will only be available to guests who had previously bought tickets within the time of the park closure.
Additional safety measures being implemented are the requirement of any guest above the age of three to wear a face mask at all times in theme parks and common areas of hotels and all guests and workers must have their temperature taken prior to entering each park.
Attractions That Will Remain Closed

- Parades
- Fireworks
- Makeover opportunities
- Character meet and greets
- Playgrounds
- Water Parks
