Viola Davis, the actress who's captivated America time and time again for her roles in How to Get Away With Murderand Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, will be taking on perhaps the biggest role of her esteemed career: iconic first lady Michelle Obama.

The upcoming miniseries will also feature Gillian Anderson as Eleanor Roosevelt and Michelle Pfeiffer as Betty Ford. The series, tentatively titled The First Lady, will be airing on Showtime, but any release date is currently undisclosed.
First ladies seem to be making waves on television, with Edie Falco portraying Hillary Clinton in the upcoming season of American Crime Story.
