After 12 years together, "Vanderpump Rules" stars Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz are calling it quits.
Maloney took to Instagram Tuesday, March 15, announcing the unexpected news of their split.
She wrote,
"After 12 years on an adventure through our life together Tom and I are ending our marriage. This ending is not met with resentment or animosity, no sides to choose. We have deep admiration for one another that will always remain, and we cherish our friendship."
Her "Vanderpump Rules" cast members quickly chimed in to show support.
Good friends Stassi Schroeder and Ariana Madix both commented, "I love you." Raquel Leviss added, "Sending love Katie."
Schwartz, in his own post, reflected back on the former couple's relationship, sharing his heartache.
He wrote,
"Well this sucks. How am I supposed to capture 12 years of love in a f-kin canned Instagram caption. What picture am I supposed to use? Is there a go-to break up font? Wanted to clear the air on some rumors floating around. Katie & I are separating." adding, "Yes my heart aches but I'll be ok."
He added,
"As sad as I am, still happy to say there's no anger or bitterness. Zero. Still so much love for you @musickillskate. And your family."
Kristen Doute commented, "love you both forever." Both Schroeder and Madix added, "Love you both so much."
Maloney and Schwartz tied the knot in August of 2016.
