Tiffany Haddish Opens Up About DUI Arrest

Tiffany Haddish Wasn't Intimidated Dancing Next to Beyoncé | The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Comedic actress Tiffany Haddish reveals what happened on the night of her DUI arrest on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.

On January 14th, TMZ posted about the Girls Trip star being under suspicion, after officers of Georgia's Peachtree City Police Department responded to a complaint about a driver who was asleep at the wheel.

The cops assumed she had smoked weed, so they arrested her for DUI and improper stopping on a roadway. She was transported to the Fayette County Jail where she waited to bond out of jail. Luckily for Haddish, a few hours later passed and she was posted for $1,666 bail.

Now two weeks later, the 42-year-old told Fallon and viewers what she remembered from the incident.

"I can say this Jimmy... I've been praying to God to send me a new man. A good man. And God went ahead and sent me four...in uniform. And now I got a really great lawyer, and we're going to work it out."

Her humor and charismatic energy didn't seem to lose touch as she thanked Fallon for giving her the time to reflect on the past. The stars also discussed Haddish's hardships over the past year.

Haddish said,

"Bob Saget was like a big mentor to me, a big brother, a father figure. He meant a lot to me. Funny man. He was the first white man to ever tell me, 'Just be yourself'. And then, my grandma passed away, and she saved my life. That's my heart. She was like my soulmate. So that's been... really hard to process, all this... Grief."

A few months ago, Haddish also split from rapper Common after a year-long relationship. Haddish will certainly bounce back from these ups and downs, and we all can't wait to see what she's got in store for us next.
