Production came to a halt due to COVID-19, but the series will resume shooting on August 17th. New procedures are set in place in London, as many productions begin to assume the new normal. Newcomer to the series and Game of Thrones alum Kristofer Hivju tested positive for the virus and has since fully recovered.
The series is based on the popular book series by Andrzej Sapkowski and follows monster hunter Geralt of Rivia. Played by Henry Cavill, Geralt strives to figure out his place in the wicked world where people are much more evil than beasts.
The series is expected to be released in 2021, but Netflix has yet to announce an official release date.
