The Undertaker Officially Retires From The WWE After 30 Years

It was an emotional night for wrestling fans.

It's been 30 years since the Undertaker made a name for himself in the WWE. Now his career is coming to a close as he did his final sendoff on WWE's Survivor series last night, November 22nd.

Announcer Vince McMahon announced The Undertaker one last time, and it was an emotional moment not only for him, but for the entirety of professional wrestling itself. McMahon said:

"Tonight marks the end of an era, an end of an era of the most storied career in history, it'll never be duplicated."

He also mentioned that while The Undertaker is leaving, his legacy will last forever.

The Undertaker, whose real name is Mark Calaway, said in his farewell speech:

"My time has come to let The Undertaker rest in peace."

As soon as he said this, a hologram of his old manager Paul Bearer (Bill Moody) showed up next to the wrestler. Bearer passed away in 2013, and it was a beautiful tribute to them both.

Many WWE legends made tributes on Twitter for the legendary icon, including Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, John Cena, and Shawn Michaels. Fans of The Undertaker have been expressing their love through the hashtag #FarewellTaker and #ThankYouTaker.
