The wait is over X-men fans! After four delays, X-men spinoff The New Mutants has finally hit theaters. Directed by Josh Boone, the film follows a group of teenage mutants as they come to terms with their superpowers.
In an interview with EW back in 2018, Stranger Things star Charlie Heaton detailed the film, saying:
"It's basically about these mutants in a facility for damaged mutants. It's a story about these characters coming to grips with who they are, and it's a horror X-Men movie, which we haven't seen before."
The New Mutants showcases some of Hollywood's brightest up-and-coming stars including Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Heaton, Alice Braga and Blu Hunt.

Maisie Williams is taking on new territory as "Rahne" in The New Mutants. At San Diego Comic-Con, the actress shared her excitement in taking on the role, saying:
"I was really thrilled to play someone like Rahne because I've always kind of seen myself as more that character. I think she's very uncomfortable in her own skin. She wants to speak up and wants to say what she feels but she's constantly treading lightly."
Williams discussed how the role differs from her beloved Game of Thrones character "Arya," telling the crowd:
"When I play Arya, I always have to like command the room...and it's kinda exhausting and I don't really feel like that, it was really lovely to play Wolfsbane, it's great to just be watching and listening"
This is the thirteenth and final installment in the X-men film series. You can catch the film in theaters now!
