On Monday, Apple TV+ debuted a first look of the second season of the hit series The Morning Show following the season one cliffhanger. Starring Jennifer Anniston and Reese Witherspoon, the drama explores the power dynamics in the workplace between men and women, supervisors and employees, and between competing colleagues. The second season premiers September 17 on Apple TV+.
Along with Anniston and Witherspoon, the star-studded cast returning for season two includes Steve Carell, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Tom Irvin, Karen Pittman, Nestor Carbonell, and more. The Morning Show team will have some new additions for season two including YouTube star Hasan Minhaj and New Girl actress Greta Lee.
Aniston is no friend in the workplace as Alex Levy. The star shares her excitement for the new season with the full trailer on Instagram.
In its first season, Crudup earned a Critics Choice Award and an Emmy win as Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role as network president Corey Ellison. Friends star Jennifer Anniston, on the other hand, earned herself a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for her role as Alex Levy, star news anchor of The Morning Show.
Picking up after the explosive events in the season one finale, the new trailer teases audiences of The Morning Show team's emergence after the wreckage of Alex(Anniston) and Bradley's (Witherspoon) actions, to a new UBA network, and the contrast between who we present as and who we really are.
