The Los Angeles Rams Beat the San Francisco 49ers for Spot in Super Bowl

The Los Angeles Rams are heading to the Super Bowl!

The Rams faced off against the 49ers in the NFC Championship this Sunday. While both teams were fighting for the final spot in the Super Bowl, the Rams took a close victory over San Francisco, winning the game 20-17.

Odds were not looking favorable for the Rams as they entered the second half trailing the 49ers by 10 points leaving the scoreboard at 7-17.

The second half however saw a dominant performance by the Rams as they made an impressive comeback. The Rams shut out the 49ers and scored 13 unanswered points, two touchdowns and a field goal by kicker Matt Gay. With just over a minute left in the game Jimmy Garoppolo, the 49ers quarterback, threw an interception sealing the Rams spot in the Super Bowl.

Los Angeles wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham, helped carry the team to victory both finishing the game with over 100 receiving yards, the first pair to do so on the Rams since 2004. Kupp was also responsible for the Ram's only two touchdowns of the night.

Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams will duel it out against AFC champs, Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals, in Super Bowl LVI.

Luckily for the Rams, they won’t have to travel very far as this year’s game will be held on their home turf at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.

Super Bowl LVI will take place on Sunday Feb. 13 at 6:30 pm.
