The CW is ending the beloved superhero serieswith a bang, releasing a five-part episode run called The Flash: Armageddon to kick off season eight. This season, Barry Allen, the Flash's alter-ego, is teaming up an all-star crew of superhero allies. Batwoman, the Atom, and Black Lightning are just some of the other CW superheroes participating in Armageddon's crossover episodes.
If you're a fan of The Flash or are drawn to the show's premise, Ranker.com and Watchworthy are bringing you more show recommendations that Flash fans are statistically more likely to enjoy.
First on Ranker's list is MTV's hit supernatural drama, Teen Wolf. Starring teenage heartthrobs, Tyler Posey and Dylan O'Brien, the show follows a group of werewolf teens fighting off unworldly threats to protect their Massachusetts' home town. Fans of The Flash would definitely be drawn to the realm that Teen Wolf builds, as mysterious and supernatural beings expand the universe to be much greater than any normal human could conceive.
Teen Wolf ended with its sixth season in 2017, however cast members have teased fans with the possibility of a reboot. Additionally, Paramount+ will be releasing a Teen Wolf Movie, set to premiere in 2022.
Next up on Ranker's list is The Good Doctor, a medical drama following a physician, Shaun Murphy, who is played by Freddie Highmore. Dr. Murphy's genius stems from his savant syndrome, which acts as a double-edged sword for the young doctor. Although Dr. Murphy is able to bring his patients the help and relief they were looking for, he is still unable to connect with them on an emotional level.
Fans of The Flash would love the superhuman premise that The Good Doctor carries, as the show weighs the cost of Dr. Murphy's innate talent in comparison to his inability to relate to those he cares for. The Good Place has aired four seasons and is currently in its fifth.
Last up on Ranker's recommendation list is The Boys. This Amazon Prime series is another superhero show, but it completely alters our archetypal perception of what it means to be one. The Boys features a team of vigilantes who are devoted to combating other super-powered individuals from exploiting their strength for harm.
The Boys differentiates from typical storylines as it carries a much more dark and ominous perspective of the traditional superhero narratives. If you're looking for a much more sinister version of The Flash, The Boys is exactly what you need to watch.
