Benedict Cumberbatch is taking on a spy role in the upcoming film The Courrier!
Based on a true story, the The Courrier follows British spy Greville Wynne (played by Cumberbatch) throughout the height of the Cold War. In addition to Cumberbatch, the film stars Rachel Brosnahan and Jessie Buckley. Previously titled 'Ironbark,' the filmpremiered at Sundance Film Festival last year and is now heading to theaters.

This role isn't a total switch-up for Cumberbatch-- Back in 2011, he played a Cold War British intelligence agent in mystery-thriller Tinker Tailor Soldier.
