Fans know Tate for roles in The O.C. and Friends, but now he’s starring in a powerful film.
In Wild About Harry, Tate plays a dad of two teenage girls and keeps his gay romance a secret. The movie is set in the 70's, long before gay marriage was legal.
"It's a true story, which I always gravitate towards. Kids were being ripped from their parents. It was a long time ago. We've come a long way and these people had to go through this. We don't want to lose these rights. That's the sort of great thing about this movie is that it's about intolerance in general," Donovan said.
Wild About Harry is available now on digital and VOD.
