The Apple TV+ series is getting rave reviews and earning Egerton award show buzz for his portrayal of Jimmy Keene, a Chicago area drug dealer who works with the FBI to befriend a serial killer while undercover in prison.
It also features an all-star ensemble cast including Greg Kinnear, Sepideh Moafi, Paul Walter Hauser and the late Ray Liotta in his final TV role.
Advocate Channel correspondent Rachel Smith talked to Egerton about the series and working with Liotta, who plays his father in the show.
“What would you want people to know about him that you got to learn that is part of his legacy?” Smith asked Egerton.
Egerton replied,
”You know working with him felt like being in the presence of greatness, he was a man of integrity and kindness. Sometimes you work with an actor who makes you feel like you’re better because of them and that’s who Ray Liotta was.”
Egerton also went on praise Liotta’s performance saying he thinks it’s one of the best of his career.
Smith also talked to co-stars Greg Kinnear & Sepideh Moafi about playing the detectives in the case and keeping things light on set considering the heavy subject matter.
Egerton discussed the future of the next Kingsman movie, when he may do another movie musical, and he even addressed all those Wolverine rumors.
