Tamron Hall announced that on Friday, June 12, her show will air an hour-long special entitled Hear Us Now, where viewers will hear from those marching and protesting as part of the Black Lives Matter movement.
The purpose of the special is to hear from the young leaders who are protesting all across America, demanding racial equality and an end to police brutality. Hall hopes the special will give a proper platform to the young men and women who are speaking out on this matter.
The former NBC news correspondent will also look back at how police brutality and protests existed in the past as well as the present through the story of CNN political analyst Bakari Sellers. Sellers' father, Cleveland Sellers Jr. was shot during a 1968 protest and spent seven months in prison for sparking a protest. Hall will also hear from his step daughter, Kai Carter.
