Merlin, while not about superheroes, is an apt recommendation because of its mystical and fantasy themes. The series aired on the BBC from 2008-2012 and revisits the stories of King Arthur and wizard Merlin. The show takes place when the two were young men and focuses on their adventures and friendship. Colin Morgan (Merlin) and Bradley James (King Arthur) are the show's stars, and all five seasons can be streamed on Netflix.
