It's time for another update from Soap Opera Digest correspondent Stephanie Sloane and this week two actresses are resurrecting their former roles.
Tamara Braun Returns To 'Days of our Lives'
After being in quarantine following the COVID-19 pandemic, Tamara Braun had to get back to being her camera-ready self in order to return the Days of our Lives set. Braun last played the role of Dr. Kim Nero on General Hospital from fall 2017 to fall 2018 but now, she is back to playing the presumed-dead, Ava Vitali on Days.
Braun first played the role of Ava in 2008, then again for a few months in 2016, and now she is finally returning as Ava once again. Sloane tells us that the energy of the show welcomed her upon her return and she was thrilled to see her former co-stars. The only downside was not being able to hug them!
Tricia Cast Will Always Be Nina Webster
Tricia Cast was first seen on The Young and the Restless back in 1986 when she was just 20 years old, playing the role of Nina Webster. She was last on the show in 2014 and since then has been away from the set. Cast has been living in Tennessee and has been occupied with quilting and growing tomatoes to keep busy, but Sloane tells us that she is willing to hop on a plane and return to set any time she is needed.
For The Young and the Restless' 12,000th episode, Cast will bring back her role of Nina Webster for a short stint. She wanted to share her excitement by first telling her good friend on the show as well as in real life, Lauralee Bell who plays the role of Christine. Cast says that returning to set was easy, as she was immediately able to pick up right where she left off!
