Brace yourselves, Soap fans! Jaymes is checking in with Soap Opera Digest's editorial director Stephanie Sloane for the latest daytime TV news.
'Days of Our Lives': Possession's Storyline Is Back
This is what we’ve been saying! #DaysofOurLives @nbcdays @daysofourliveshttps://twitter.com/kc224girl/status/1445162428308901888 …— Bill & Susan Hayes (@Bill & Susan Hayes) 1633394659
An iconic Days of Our Lives storyline is back. The show is telling a possession tale, a storyline that had huge success 25 years ago. Sloane said that Marlena's character is involved again:
"Marlena is once again at the center of this story and yes, she will levitate."
Furthermore, fan favorite Bill Hayes is going to be involved as well. Sloane shared that the actor has been eager to be part of this storyline since 2017:
"But the show has also incorporated fan favorite Bill Hayes into the mix as well. Head writer Ron Carlivati tells me he's been wanting to do this storyline since he first came to the show in 2017 and promises there are twists and turns along the way that the audience will never see coming."
Suzanne Rogers

And someone else is coming back on Days of Our Lives. It's Days' legend Suzanne Rogers, who is reprising her role as Maggie. Rogers started playing the role back in 1973 and since then, she has been one of the most beloved characters on the show.
But since early 2021, Rogers' character has disappeared from sight. Sloane explained why:
"We haven't seen Suzanne since early 2021. She landed in the hospital last year after choking on a pill and it led to a three month stay."
Rogers was incredibly frightened for her life at the time the incident happened. Sloane, however, shared that the cast has been incredibly welcoming towards the actress:
"She thought she would never make it home. Suzanne admits that she was nervous when she first returned to the Days' set last May, but says she was so welcomed by the cast and crew and couldn't have been more thrilled to play the role of Maggie again."
