Simon Leviev, also known as the 'Tinder Swindler,' is now denying the title in a recent interview. Since the documentary was released on February 2nd, a variety of shocking stories have circulated about the 'Tinder Swindler.'
In an exclusive interview with Inside Edition, Leviev denies being the 'Tinder Swindler.'
Leviev was said to have swindled multiple women out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. He was able to lure them into his trap by parading his lavish lifestyle filled with private jets, yachts, and luxury hotels. It is unclear how many people he has swindled but it's estimated he has made around $10 million of of it, according to Entertainment Tonight. His newest narrative is that the documentary has painted him in a false light.
Leviev said:
"I am not the 'Tinder Swindler, I was just a single guy that wanted to meet girls on Tinder."
The alleged 'Tinder Swindler' is now claiming that it's not actually a documentary but a fictional movie.
Leviev stated:
"They present it as a documentary but in truth, it's like a complete[ly] made-up movie.
The documentary has now been seen by over 50 million people, according to Inside Edition, becoming an immediate hit on Netflix. There will be a second part of the interview series, in which his new girlfriend does the talking.
In other recent news, Leviev has signed with a talent manager, Gina Rodriguez. He is planning on writing a book and hosting a dating show and podcast to profit from his infamy, according to People's Gazette.
Leviev also shared on social media before deleting his accounts that he:
“will share his side of the story in the next few days when he has sorted out the best and most respectful way to, both to the involved parties and himself.”
