Shailene Woodley is putting herself first following her split with Aaron Rodgers.
The "Big Little Lies" star posted a quote from author Martín Prechtel to her Instagram Story about loss. The caption read
"Grief expressed out loud for someone we have lost, or a country or home we have lost, is in itself the greatest praise we could ever give them. Grief is praise, because it is the natural way love honors what it misses."
Shailene has hinted that self-care is her priority for now. She reposted stories from @the.soul.awakening and @awakenstardust that read, "Like plants we grow when buried in the darkness".
According to PEOPLE and E! News, sources shared that Shailene decided to call it quits after noticing that "everything was on his terms."
"Shailene tried to give it another shot and was spending time with Aaron. But she quickly saw that everything was on his terms and nothing was going to change. There was no reason to continue and she's done with it again," an insider said.
