It seems like yesterday when the Sexiest Man Alive was founded by People magazine in 1985 with Mel Gibson as the first winner ever. Since then, other celebrities have won the title such as Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Matthew McConaughey and The Rock to name a few.
Last year, Michael B. Jordan was named Sexiest Man Alive 2020, but Colbert stated that it's officially time to move forward with this year's winner.
Secrecy around the name of the celebrity has always been incredibly important before the announcement, but The New York Post has already shared a possible winner: Chris Evans.
Colbert, however, made it clear that he's the only one that can make the official announcement:
"There's only one person officially sanctioned and approved by People's magazine to reveal who it is. I will be doing that."
He then jokingly continued:
"Sexiest Man allowed to announce Sexiest Man Alive."
Colbert then begged Michael B. Jordan for a peaceful transfer of sexy.
Will Chris Evans be Sexiest Man Alive 2021? There's only one way to find out -- tune in to watch The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight at 11:35pm EST on CBS.
