Many Selena Gomez fans are ecstatic that the star has continued her career after her personal mental health challenges and a fervent battle with the autoimmune disease Lupus. The star is switching up her traditional style of music to a Latin-pop genre that suits her interests more as a vocalist. She has made strides to honor her heritage in her art, teaming up with Grammy-winning producer Tainy, along with Albert Hype, Jota Rosa and NEON16 to produce this record.

If fans are as obsessed with Gomez's new song as much as we are, there is more in store. Major rumors are circulating of a Selena Gomez Spanish album. And yes, you heard that right.

The star tweeted all the way back in 2011 about a Spanish record. Well, now she is finally making her dream comes true as she continues to diversify her discography. In 2014, she released her first solo Spanish-language project, "Más," followed by a 2018 release of her first song in Spanish, "Taki Taki." Her latest hit seems to confirm all the fingers pointing toward a brand new album entirely in Spanish.

Gomez spoke with Apple Music to share insights about her new music and the significance it holds in her own life.

"I feel like it's the perfect timing. Just with all the division in the world, there's something about Latin music that globally just makes people feel things, you know?"

This is not the only project that the star has in the works. She is currently working on her new cooking show Selena + Cheffor HBO Max. The series' second trailer was just released on January 11th.
