The Scrubs family has reunited! The group-- creator Bill Lawrence and stars Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, John C. McGinley, Judy Reyes, and Neil Flynn-- fathered for a reunion panel at the ATX TV Festival on Sunday morning.
During the panel, Lawrence and the cast expressed their desires to return to the story, although in a different format. Since the series came to an end in 2010, the cast has taken on a wide range of projects. Lawrence is the co-creator of the current smash hit series "Ted Lasso."
"I think we all want a reboot and want to work together again, but it couldn't be a full season," Faison, who played surgeon Christopher Turk on the series, said. "Maybe like a movie or something we could shoot in a few months," he continued. "With everything Bill is doing now, he's never going to be free again. If he finds the time, we'll do it."
But it looks like Lawrence is onboard, despite his busy schedule.
"We're gonna do it because people still care about it, and we enjoy spending time with each other."
The group also addressed the possibility of the "Scrubs" reboot being a musical.
"I don't know if there will be a 'Scrubs' musical unless this cast all say they want to do that. Do you really want to hear Sarah sing? No, you don't," Lawrence joked.
