As the Villa fills up with hot, new contestants, it was just announced that "Modern Family" star Sarah Hyland will be hitting the beaches as the new host of "Love Island USA!"
Alongside the release of the official trailer from Peacock, Sarah Hyland shared her excitement for her role in the show on Instagram.
She captioned the post,
“I got a text!!!! And it’s a juicy one! I can’t wait to be your new host of @loveislandusa”
Her fiance, Wells Adams, commented on her post with,
“We out here really cornering the reality TV beach dating sector.”
Adams was referencing his bartender role in ABC’s "Bachelor in Paradise." He began his journey with Bachelor Nation as a contestant on the twelfth season of "The Bachelorette" with Joelle Fletcher. After he was eliminated he went on the fourth season of "Bachelor in Paradise" to find love again. After another failure, he returned to the franchise the next season as a bartender.
Though not an official host, the bartender gives advice to contestants and sometimes fills in as host. Lucky for Hyland, this means she can get some tips on her new role. She shared with E! News,
"He always shares a lot with me during the process of BiP. It's a lot of unpredictability, you just have to roll with the punches and just be patient and observant and have kindness for everyone."
Inspired by "Love Island UK," the reality drama did not have the same success as its British ancestor while on CBS. After moving to Peacock, the streamer plans to give the show a more scandalous spin. Hyland will be replacing previous host, Arielle Vandenberg, and intends to stir the pot in a drama-filled season.
This summer, the couple will be instigating drama together (but separately) on the sands. "Love Island USA" will begin streaming weekly on July 19th. Watch the trailer below!
