Robert Pattinson is vengeance. Criminals watch out, the Defender of Gotham is coming back for a sequel.

Warner Bros announced the exciting news on Tuesday at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.

Robert Pattinson will reprise his iconic role as Bruce Wayne and Matt Reeves will return to write and direct the "The Batman" sequel.

“Matt Reeves, Rob Pattinson and the entire team will be taking audiences back to Gotham with 'The Batman 2,'” WB’s Toby Emmerich said at the event.

After making $759 million in theaters around the globe, it's no surprise that Warner Bros and DC are making "The Batman 2" a top priority.

While no details have been released yet surrounding the plot of the sequel, a since released deleted scene showing Batman (Robert Pattinson) interrogating the Joker (Barry Keoghan) at Arkham Asylum, suggests we may be seeing a lot more of Barry Keoghan's Joker in the upcoming sequel.

Capitalizing on the success of the film even further, HBO Max has officially ordered a Penguin spinoff series with Colin Farrell reprising his role.

Additionally, HBO Max has reportedly began working on another "The Batman" spinoff project as well focusing on Arkham Asylum.

As far as the future dynamic of Batman and Catwoman goes, director Matt Reeves told ET earlier this year about a possible sequel,

"I think it's going to be hard, because [Selina] is not yet Catwoman in the movie, but she is going to become Catwoman, and that will actually put them more and more on opposite sides."

"And yet, that foundation of what connects them will always be there," he added. "Of course, given the two actors who are incredible together, there will of course be the deliciousness of that, too. That's what I love about them in the comics, you just always know how much they they kind of care for each other, even though they're on opposite sides."

As for Pattinson, he's more than ready to pick up the cape again.

"I was talking to Matt about it, and it's funny because he keeps saying he’s got ideas," the actor said of returning. "There's so much I love. I'm just so proud of the movie and it would be so fun to do it again."

Kravitz agreed, adding that she's excited to see what lays ahead for her and Pattinson's characters.

"I think it's so wonderful to have a setup like this, where the audience hopefully will be so invested in our emotional connection and we get to see what happens in the future."
